Take a Break From Heavy Coats

Image
In San Diego, it is always nearly chilly but never get too cold for heavy coat like Boston. When I was in SD that day, I didn’t have any light jacket with me but the weather was cloudy and almost 60 degrees! I didn’t expect that when I was packing my luggage. Luckily there was a Buffalo Exchange right across one block from my hotel. Of course I had to have my little treasure hunting trip, and I found this black fluffy cardigan for only $10! I know the teddy cardigan is trending right now yet surprisingly I didn’t get a chance to get my hand on one of them. Good for me that this fluffy cardigan is similar with the trending teddy jacket. Gave me a chance to try the style without costing me much. Inside of the cardigan I’m wearing the plaid corset dress from Urban Outfitters, which was on sale for $35.99. For people from Boston like I do, are most probably gonna be grateful for a weather like this in the east coast. Let’s take a break from heavy coats! I enjoyed this outfit ...

Thrift Travelling

Took a break from Thanksgiving. Did you guys had a wonderful Thanksgiving? Thrift-ing with the palm tree in San Diego!

Little Black Dress

Image
During my trip in San Diego, my boyfriend and I had an amazing dinner for Thanksgiving at the Addison restaurant. They say its San Diego’s most acclaimed fine dining restaurant! We had to try while we’re in San Diego. Even though the restaurant doesn’t have a dress code, it is always important to dress appropriately for a five-star restaurant like this. Well, there is just a perfect dress in my wardrobe to help me achieve an effortless elegant look. Instead of a crazily expensive dress from designer retailers, I chose this big bow dress I got from 2nd Time Around few weeks ago. It was a great deal at the price of $53.99. It is the first time I’m wearing it. Can’t tell how excited I were! This little black dress has an enormous self-tie bow at the front, spaghetti straps, squareneck, and asymmetrical hem. Not too casual yet not too formal. Just right! I enjoyed the dinner so much with the dress. Awesome food from the award-wining chef, great wine selection, and little t...

Look for the day

Image
Today I had few people commenting about my outfit saying it was cool, so, I am the kind of person that lives for the moment when I get compliments about my clothing because I knew I spent an hour in the morning just to pick the outfit for the day (ya all do right). I think it would be fair to share the look with you guys, so you can find some inspirations or get some ideas from it to create something similar or even something new ( hashtag DOYOUEVENFASHUN ). Again, I have my roommate Nan for modeling (thank you Nan!), I got the dress and the sweatshirt this summer from LF, and don't judge me I know the weather was so cold today but I just wanted to wear them one last time this year. I actually have them in mind three months before I actually purchased them, but they were too expensive for me, they were around hundred bucks for each so I couldn't get my hands on them, but guess what, the store went on sale like crazy and I finally got them both for about $80, it's still qu...

Jewelry Hunting -- Rings!!

Image
In the mood of thrifting but dont feel like trying on clothes? Or having some spare time to spend in your local thrift store but have no idea what to look at? Here is some best advice I can give  CHECK OUT THEIR JEWELRY SECTION! Rings are my favorite thing to thrift every time I visit a thrift store. It’s a MUST. Besides, it doesn’t take much time to just give them a glance and try them on. You might be able to get yourself some sweet little surprise 😉 Here are some of my treasured rings collection from different thrift stores. Almost all of my collection are gold. They look so antique I just can’t get enough of them! This one below is my favorite statement ring! It goes well with almost every outfit from leisure to formal, and formal to Cocktail. I got a lot of compliments every time I wear it. When I tell people I got it from thrift store, they just couldn’t believe it. It cost the most among all of my rings collection. I believe I bought it somewhere...

Fashion Haul!!! ---Shoes

Image
Last Saturday I went to the thrifty store (yeah, again), which is called Buffalo Exchange and found some goodies there that I would like to share with you guys. So I got two pair of shoes for under 40 bucks. Both of them are in quite good condition, and pretty wearable on a daily base. these oxford shoes I got for around 14 dollars, they are second-handed and originally from Cole Hann, which I think it's a great buy for the brand name. Oxford shoes are so easy to wear and good for both fall and winter season. An oxford shoe is characterized by shoelace eyelets tabs that are attached under the vamp. My tip is to wear them with cropped trousers with a trench coat to create a British style look. it's pretty classic and trendy at the same time.                                                   The second pair is quite similar but with a bit more details...

2 Favorite Garment District Pieces

Image
Honestly if I'm gonna be real with myself this is probably my favorite go-to thrift pickup. I really love the color its a green that pops, not too bright but still unmistakably green. Considering I barely wear this color it feels new to me. Its a nylon rain jacket with a neck cover when you unzip it. There is a pouch compartment on the chest where I put stuff and it has a plastic buckle strap. The jacket is so light too. No designs on it either but I kind of like it simple. Plus I look like I'm really chilling having a good time so.. yea. This was after a party in Manhattan I saw a girl dressed as #11 from Stranger Things, I thought that was pretty cool.                             ...

Fall Faves!

Image
My favorite season is here! Hot chocolate, boots, and oversized jackets. To the left are pictures of currently the outerwear that I’ve been pulling frequently out of my closet. Both from a thrift store named Buffalo Exchange. Buffalo is a thrift store that sells mostly name brand items and vintage clothing. The first oversized denim jacket is originally from Saks 5th, while the Tokyo letterman is from Zara. What’s your favorite oversized jacket or sweater?

Perfect Jacket for the Weather

Image
It’s the layering season again! The weather has been changing a lot lately in Boston. It would be so warm at day but freezing at night. I always have trouble choosing the right outfit L . I’m either wearing too much or less. However, here is my savior – denim jackets! It’s my go-to! I love wearing it with a dress and my Dr. Martens boots. I have a few denim jackets with other different colour wash but this one is my favourite. This denim jackets I’m wearing is from Buffalo Exchange. I got it a few weeks ago with a deal of $19.99. Does anyone else find it hard to find a good black washed denim jacket? I actually spent a long time looking for one that fit me well. This jacket is a little oversized, and the colour is a little lighter in real life. There is also a small white stain residue w at the left pocket but I don’t mind it at all.  I believe this jacket will stay with me for a looooong time! -Z-

My Favourite Jeans from Thrifting

Image
Jeans are definitely one of my favorite things to thrift. They never really go out of style, and any small damages can easily be repaired with a small cost. But sometimes you don’t even have to be bothered by those minor wears and tears on the jeans as they are often unnoticeable or even seem intentional. Most of my vintage jeans are from Buffalo Exchange in Harvard Avenue (because they have fitting room!). It is a little bit tricky when it comes to thrifting jeans. You have to keep an eye on the details. For instant, the waist, the thigh room, and the stretchiness. When thrifting jeans, I always prefer jeans that with loose relaxed fit instead of skinny, and I usually won’t bother by the inseams as I can always cut it shorter as I want it to be. Well, let me show you guys some of my favorite jeans I got from thrift stores! These pair of Levi’s jeans are my recent found. Even though they are a little bigger in size, they were on a price tag of just $38 if I’m not mistak...

Thrifty Fashion HAUL--- Do You Even Fashun?

Image
So yesterday, October 18th, I had my very first experience shopping at the thrift wear store, which is called "2ND Time Around". The store is located in 219 Newbury St, Boston, MA 02228, and the store is all about used, vintage style, and thrift wear, which is an amazing place for all thrift fashion lovers.      I went to check this place out with my roommate Nan, and pleased to have her modeling for my thrifty fashion Haul. So we both love a vintage style of fashion, and I spent approximately $340 on all seven items. It may seems a lot for used items, however I did get myself seven pieces including some high end designer brands.          I got this jacket for about 30 dollars, which was originally priced in 160 dollars, it is an Australian brand that is called Still. It is a classic check patterned coat that would go well with any color. Also I recently noticed that the check pattern has just got back on trend fo...
