Thrifty shopping in San Diego!

Image
Happy late Thanksgiving friends and families!! I just travelled to San Diego the day before Thanksgiving to spend my some fun time with my friends, and on the way to our hotel, I found that they had this tiny cart that had a bunch of clothes that's on sale. I think they were kind of out season so everything was pretty cheap. I didn't expect much because everything seemed old and floppy, but as I was digging into the cart, my friend found this pink corset that she really liked but was not her size, so, luckily I took over the corset for $7.99. Hahaha thank god! I changed to the corset immediately when I arrived my hotel, and matched it with a denim shorts to create this simple look, I think it goes well with any white or blue jeans. This is how the corset looks like, it's really simple but also with some cute details. I like the fishnet design that suits perfectly with the weather of California, and gives you that "Cal gal" look. I can't wait to sta

Vintage Online Boutiques

Here are a few online thrift sites you may have been missing out on. ASOS Marketplace  This online boutique is based in the UK but aims to serve the world. They can be a little bit on the pricey side but you can find some really nice pieces from notable brands. They offer a wide vintage selection similar to most thrift shops you've been to. Romwe  Now I have a love-hate relationship with Romwe. Not that i have ever shopped on their website, but there seemed to be mixed reviews. When you go on the site, everything looks amazing and the prices are better than Primark. The problem is the quality, my friend said she had ordered clothing from the site and it was nothing like it was advertised. Now I'm not saying never use Romwe, I'm just saying be ready in case you're disappointed. The Vintage Twin These twin sisters(Morgan and Samantha) are taking thrift shopping to a new level. Unlike other thrift stores that sell the clothes as is, they like to make a couple o

Image
Splurged a little too hard at the thrift store? Or need to cut out some extra space in your closet for the upcoming huge holiday sale? We have been talking alot about tips to look for a good find in thrift store, but isn't it as important to get yourself ready for thrift finds? Here is an easy way to do it.  Sell those pre-loved clothes online!   Lets get your closet cleaning done and a little bit of extra cash in a few easy steps. So, here are 3 important tips to start for beginners.         1.   Find a market place that you feel comfortable with.   When it comes to reselling clothing, my favorite platform is Poshmark . On Poshmark, you will create your “closet” that act similar as your online store. Listing on Poshmark is very simple and free. However, for all sales under $15, Poshmark charges a flat commission of $2.95, and for sales of $15 and more, Poshmark will take 20% for commission while you keep 80% of the sales. Of course, you can always choose

Look for the day

Today I had few people commenting about my outfit saying it was cool, so, I am the kind of person that lives for the moment when I get compliments about my clothing because I knew I spent an hour in the morning just to pick the outfit for the day (ya all do right). I think it would be fair to share the look with you guys, so you can find some inspirations or get some ideas from it to create something similar or even something new ( hashtag DOYOUEVENFASHUN ). Again, I have my roommate Nan for modeling (thank you Nan!), I got the dress and the sweatshirt this summer from LF, and don't judge me I know the weather was so cold today but I just wanted to wear them one last time this year. I actually have them in mind three months before I actually purchased them, but they were too expensive for me, they were around hundred bucks for each so I couldn't get my hands on them, but guess what, the store went on sale like crazy and I finally got them both for about $80, it's still qu

You might be able to get yourself some sweet little surprise 😉 Here are some of my treasured rings collection from different thrift stores. Almost all of my collection are gold. Fashion Haul!!! ---Shoes

Image
Last Saturday I went to the thrifty store (yeah, again), which is called Buffalo Exchange and found some goodies there that I would like to share with you guys. So I got two pair of shoes for under 40 bucks. Both of them are in quite good condition, and pretty wearable on a daily base. these oxford shoes I got for around 14 dollars, they are second-handed and originally from Cole Hann, which I think it's a great buy for the brand name. Oxford shoes are so easy to wear and good for both fall and winter season. An oxford shoe is characterized by shoelace eyelets tabs that are attached under the vamp. My tip is to wear them with cropped trousers with a trench coat to create a British style look. it's pretty classic and trendy at the same time.                                                   The second pair is quite similar but with a bit more details on the instep. For these ones I paid 20 dollars because they are pretty new and in better condition. I really love

2 Favorite Garment District Pieces

Honestly if I'm gonna be real with myself this is probably my favorite go-to thrift pickup. I really love the color its a green that pops, not too bright but still unmistakably green. Considering I barely wear this color it feels new to me. Its a nylon rain jacket with a neck cover when you unzip it. There is a pouch compartment on the chest where I put stuff and it has a plastic buckle strap. The jacket is so light too. No designs on it either but I kind of like it simple. Plus I look like I'm really chilling having a good time so.. yea. This was after a party in Manhattan I saw a girl dressed as #11 from Stranger Things, I thought that was pretty cool.                                    This jacket here is what makes this a hard choice of which is my favorite. Blue is my favorite color so off rip I had to cop it. It fits a little more comfortable its a size up and you can wear it as a windbreaker or put

4 Thrift Shopping Secrets For Finding Gems!

Image
1. Size Matters! The size of the thrift store does matter! I typically find more items at a bigger store because they receive more donations and support from local shelters, food banks, etc. Privately owned thrift stores tend to be smaller and don't offer a great selection because they're not getting constant donations (Lisa Marie Conklin). 2. Location Matters!  Usually you would think to go to a suburban area to find goodies. Wrong! Not saying these areas don't have good items, but speaking from experience, I've typically found GEMS at the stores nobody would think to go to in a location that isn't the most glamorized. They also provide these items at a better price. Since these non-glamorized locations are more diverse, you would organically find a variety of vintage items at relatively good prices. 3. Don't be Afraid to Shop the Men's Section (for my women)  Most of my clothing for fall (over sized coats), even graphic hats and tees all h
